DELEGATION OF KU LEUVEN VISITS ZCMU

On 16th September, a delegation of 22 medical students from university of Leuven (KU Leuven) led by Prof. Geert Callewaert and Ms. Petra D'hooge visited ZCMU. A Lecture on Basics of TCM was arranged after the brief introduction of ZCMU and International Education College given by Prof. Wang Ying, Acting Dean of IEC. Prof. Wang Ying introduced some basic concepts of TCM as Holism, Pattern Differentiation, collateral channels, and meridians so as to outline a general idea of TCM for the students. Students also tried the Pulse-taking, one of the four diagnostic methods of TCM in the Pulse-taking lab. A lecture on Acupuncture and Moxibustion is held in the afternoon and the students also tried Acupuncture in person. KU Leuven is a leading higher education and research university in Europe, which is amongst the top 50 universities worldwide. It is the third annual visit to ZCMU since 2017. |
