This September ZCMU welcomed the first batch of international postgraduates of hearing and speech rehabilitation master degree program. This Scholarship program is sponsored by Professor Wang Yonghua, former Dean of College of Medical Technology of ZCMU and founder of Hui’er Company, which is specialized in family rehabilitation of hearing loss children and the research & manufacture of digital hearing aids, for the purpose of cultivating professionals in developing countries and regions in the field of audiology and hearing & speech rehabilitation.

International Education College has received more than 10 applications since July when the admission of the program started officially. After the documents assessment and online interview, 3 students from Thailand, Malaysia and Ghana respectively were admitted.

On 23^rd September, after one-week-long orientation, the 3 students visited the Headquarter of Hui’er company for the first time. Prof. Wang Yonghua gave them the very first lecture for their program. Students are confident that the techniques they obtain here in China will definitely help the deaf kids and people with hearing impairment back in their home country.
