Trainees from Japan Arrived for Study

A team of 15 undergraduates majoring in Acupuncture and Moxibustion from Toyo Medical University led by Ms. Matsumoto Shiori arrived at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University on 13th November, 2018 for a three-day- long training program.

An opening ceremony was held by International Education College, which Wang Ying, Deputy Dean of IEC, Chen Xiaoqian, Director of Short-term Training Programs attended. A tour to the Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Museum followed.

During the three- day- long training, in addition to lectures on Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Tuina, Cupping and Scraping, clinical observations were also arranged for trainees to learn the clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies.

The cooperation between Toyo Medical University and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University started more than 30 years ago, during which inter-university short-training programs are traditions. In addition, 3+2 joint-degree program has been conducted for years between the two universities, under which dozens of Japanese students have finished the undergraduate program of ZCMU and obtained Bachelor’s Degree.
