On November 29^th, ZCMU welcomed a delegation from Education Department Chiang Mai Province Thailand led by Mr. Kitthanate Punpanuchart, Director- General. The visit is designed to promote the exchange of ideas and innovation strategies

Zhang Yuanlong, Vice Secretary of Party Committee of ZCMU, extended warm welcome to the gusts and outlined the history and latest development of academic education at ZCMU. Deputy Director from International Affairs Office and Deputy Dean from International Education College elaborated collaboration between ZCMU and universities and institutes in Thailand as well as the development of International Education and the management of international student affairs at ZCMU. Mr. Kitthanate Punpanuchart outlined the secondary and higher education in Chiang Mai. Ideas were exchanged between the parties as for the establishment of Chinese Medicine Confucius Institute, Faculty training and exchange as well as research collaboration.

Five on campus Thai students were also invited to share their studies and lives at ZCMU. A tour to Chinese Medicine Museum was also arranged.

Chiang Mai Province is located in North Thailand with its Capital Chiang Mai being the second largest city in Thailand. With superb-quality of its Chinese Language Teaching, Chiang Mai Province has become an important source of international students for ZCMU. By now ZCMU has established cooperation with Chiang Mai University and Maejo University which are within the territory of Chiang Mai Province.
