Overview of  the University

Founded in 1953, Zhejiang  Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) is one of the key universities in Zhejiang  Province. It ranks in the top 20 medical universities in China.

ZCMU is composed of 15  colleges, 3 direct affiliated hospitals and 21 indirect affiliated hospitals.  There are over 15,000 full-time students, including 600 international students  undergoing their degree study. ZCMU has nurtured numerous batches of  international students since 1985, and up to now, more than 5,000 students from  over 50 countries and regions have graduated from our university.


Introduction of Nursing School

The school of Nursing was  established in 1997 and it started its undergraduate program of nursing in the  year 2000. In 2006, the school was authorized to offer master’s degree programs  in nursing.

Featured in integrating  traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, the school of nursing has  constantly improved the system of education and the quality of talent  cultivated. At present, the specialty of nursing of the school is granted the  honor of being a national featured specialty, along with it being a key  specialty of Zhejiang province. It is the American Heart Association (AHA)  training center for basic life support.

The school has an academic  staff with a sound structure in professional achievements, experiences,  education levels, and is equipped with advanced laboratories, training rooms,  etc.


Undergraduate Program of Nursing

Study  Length: 4 years

Teaching  Language: English

Curriculum: Main courses include  Systematic Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Introduction of  Traditional Chinese Medicine, Introduction of Nursing, Fundamental Nursing,  Nursing  of Chinese Medicine, Health Assessment, Medical  Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing of Gynecology and Obstetrics,  PediatricNursing, Critical Care, Comprehensive Nursing Skills, etc. General  courses consists of Chinese Language, History of Medicine, Intercultural  Communication, Computer Basics, etc.

(2)Abiding by Chinese laws and university regulations

(3) High school graduation or above

(4) Under the age of 30

(4) Senior high school diploma (notarized copy in  Chinese/English)

(5) Transcript for all the courses in senior high school (notarized  copy in Chinese/English)

(6) Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police  Authorities of home country of origin or residence 

Enrollment

Students are enrolled on the basis of academic performance in senior  high school. 

Fees  

Application fee: 600RMB/person

Tuition: 20,000RMB/ year/person

Insurance fee: 600RMB/year/person

Physical Check: 430 RMB/person

Visa fee: 400RMB/year/person for residence permit

Accommodation fee: 4500RMB/year/person (4- sharing room)  

                                   6000RMB/year/person (3- sharing room) 

                                   9000RMB/year/person (2- sharing  room)

 Freshmen  Scholarship

The university provides Freshmen Scholarship (20,000RMB/person for  the 1st year) to outstanding applicants.
