Overview of  the University

Founded in 1953, Zhejiang  Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) is one of the key universities in Zhejiang  Province. It ranks in the top 20 medical universities in China.

ZCMU is composed of 15  colleges, 3 direct affiliated hospitals and 21 indirect affiliated hospitals.  There are over 15,000 full-time students, including 600 international students  undergoing their degree study. ZCMU has nurtured numerous batches of  international students since 1985, and up to now, more than 5,000 students from  over 50 countries and regions have graduated from our university.

Chinese Medicine in ZCMU is  one of the first batch of national specialties and is featured on Classics study  and Clinical training. Chinese medicine education in ZCMU covers Bachelor  degree, Master’s degree and Doctoral degree programs.  

Introduction of “B&R TCM” Scholarship  Program

To further promote the  development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in countries and regions along the  “Belt and Road”, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University has specially designed  “B&R TCM” Scholarship Program. The scholarship will be awarded by tuition  fee exemption , lasting for 6 years.  

Application  Requirements

(1) Non-Chinese citizens from  countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”

(2) Abiding by Chinese laws and  university regulations

(3) Applying for Bachelor degree  of Traditional Chinese Medicine covering Acupuncture and Tuina

(4) In good health

(5) High school graduation or  above

(6) HSK4 certificate

(7) Under the age of  30

“B&R TCM” Scholarship Program

Study  Length

6 years  —  1^st year: Premed study, 2^nd -6^th  years: Medicine study (including one year’s internship).

Teaching  Language: Chinese

Curriculum:  Main  courses include Basic Theories of Chinese Medicine, Classics of Chinese Medicine,  Chinese Medicine Diagnostics, Chinese Materia Medica, Chinese Herbal Formulary,   External Medicine in Classical Chinese Traditions, Gynecology in Traditional  Chinese Medicine, Pediatrics in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and  Moxibustion, Meridians and Acupuncture Points, Human Anatomy, Diagnostics,  Internal Medicine, etc.

(4) Senior high school  diploma(notarized copy in Chinese/English)

(5) Transcript for all the  courses in senior high school (notarized copy in Chinese/English)

(6) HSK4 certificate

(7) Police Clearance Certificate  issued by the National Police Authorities of home country of origin or  residence

Enrollment

Students are enrolled on the  basis of academic performance in senior high school and interview.

Application fee: 600RMB/person

Insurance fee: 600RMB/year/person

Physical Check: 430 RMB/person

Visa fee: 400RMB/year/person for residence permit

Accommodation fee: 4500RMB/year/person (4- sharing room) 

                                   6000RMB/year/person (3- sharing room)

                                   9000RMB/year/person (2- sharing  room)
