The academy commits to cultivate high-level, applied art design professionals featuring in all-round development in morality, intelligence physique and aesthetics, and they should have good professional ethics, systematic expertise and high-level skill. The specific requirements are as follows:

    1.All postgraduate candidates are required to observe law and discipline, have good moral quality and great enterprise, and be in physical and psychological health.

    2. They should get the mastery of solid, superior basics of Design and its systematic, rigorous and scientific theory including ideology, principle and methodology; research and learn about the frontier theory of design-related disciplines and the development trend of contemporary arts, and maintain the pragmatic, precise scientific style; accumulate knowledge and excellent techniques of design-related disciplines, and have a grasp of the knowledge concerning with application, research and development of new technology and material in all area of Design.

    3.They can use a foreign language for international academic communication based on individual speciality.

    4.The aim is to train high-level professionals who have good professional quality, excellent art design competence and strong art understanding and expression, and are capable of the jobs that meet the need of units, universities or departments of research and government, which contain art design practice, management, teaching, event planning and organization, as well as having self-employed ability.

    5.They should have independent learning and research competence, academic accomplishment as well as academic ethics, and ascertain explicit individual research speciality and research characteristics. A certain number of their research results can be published or adopted.

They should learn about the development trend of art design at home and abroad, in addition have certain academic communication competence, strong research and practice competence, and language expression ability, as well as the ability of unity and cooperation and social activities.
