The Radio and Television Art Degree Point started national enrollment in July, 2007. After years of development, it now has 54 postgraduates and a neatly graded and leveled group of academics with 11 tutors, including 4 professors and 7 doctors. Ever since 2007, it has undertaken 6 national-level programs with key projects, 2 programs of Ministry of Education and 8 provincial-level programs. More than 30 papers have been published in authoritative and first-level journals, and research achievements have been awarded the provincial government’s Philosophy and Social Science Award. At present, the graduates from this degree point take positions in institutions of higher learning, media organizations and other institutions and associations.

    During the process of postgraduate cultivation, the study is focused on critical theory teaching and text analysis of TV works, enabling students to be sensitive to the new development of theory and technology in the field of radio and television art, and to be actively concerned about new trends and directions. The degree point prioritizes the application of narratives, semiotics, cultural geography, postmodern theory, dramatic theory to the research on TV dramas, documentaries, television and radio broadcasts and TV culture phenomenon from various aspects such as writing, text, acceptance, art, culture, which has formed its own characteristics and advantages.
