This 2-Year MTI Program of Translation and Interpreting, was approved by MOE in 2010 and began to enroll international students from 2011. The graduates are now working in governmental departments, enterprises, public and educational institutions.  Now We own modern language labs and first-class SI (simultaneous interpreting) lab and CAT lab. Two professors and seven associate professors are now working for the program. Most importantly, We provide students well-designed professional courses, good educational environment and generous practice opportunities with an aim to promote students’ core competencies, including language competency, cross-cultural communication competency, translation ability and practical abilities via theoretical and practical training. We have established long-term strategic cooperation with professional institutions such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and China Translation and Publishing Corporation, and governmental departments or platforms such as Jinhua Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Jinhua E-government Network.
