OVERSEAS ALUMNI RETURN TO CAMPUS FOR THE CELEBRATION OF 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF ZCMU

On 19th October, alumni from the United States, Germany, UK, Denmark and Korea returned to campus to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. Vivid memories of the past good days flashed back as alumni wandered in the campus.

On the morning of 20th October, Wang Ying, Acting Dean of International Education College, accompanied the alumni for the tour to the new TCM Museum on campus. Alumni were marveled at the abundant collections of exhibits of TCM. Afterwards, they also visited the Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences on campus for advanced lab equipment and instruments.

  In the afternoon, International Education College organized a symposium with the theme of Hearts and Minds on TCM. Wang Ying briefed the developments of International education of the college in recent years. Then Martin Lund Rasmussen from Denmark shared his understanding of the 5 Shen from the perspective of human map. Michael R. Berger from the United States shared the Current status and trends of acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine in the States. Gerd Wiesemann from Germany shared his 37 years of learning Chinese Medicine. Having left ZCMU for years, alumni still harbor the passion for TCM hoping to come back to study TCM classic and follow tutors for clinic. They said that as ZCMUers they felt obliged to bring TCM to the whole world.
