January 21^st, 2019, students from Clinical Medicine (International Program) Class 2016 participated the two-week-long “Language Partners & Medical Trainee”Program in Hangzhou First People’s Hospital ( The Fourth College of Medicine of ZCMU). Director of Science and Teaching Office presented a brief introduction and specialties of the hospital as well as detailed arrangement of the training program to the students.

“Language Partners & Medical Trainee”Program is a social practice program in vacations with third year students of Clinical Medicine as participants, first launched in the summer vacation of 2017 and made a regular program afterwards. The program is supported by Hangzhou First People’s Hospital (The Fourth College of Medicine of ZCMU) and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital.

The program is intended for students with completion of fundamental courses of Clinical Medicine Specialty to have clinical observation and routine work in hospital so as to put theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. In the meanwhile, the program also provides an opportunity for the doctors to practice English in working and teaching. Both international students and Chinese doctors benefit from the reciprocal mode of teaching and learning with the enhancement of Chinese and English Language for both sides respectively. The program paves the way of future English Teaching job for those doctors and elaborates the importance of combination of theory and practice for the students.
