Since leaving Rwanda in 2016, MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC came to Jinhua. At that time, he was hopeful, and looked forward to building own "tourism kingdom" once back to Rwanda. During his study in school, MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC has got many school-level and municipal-level scholarships, and after graduating, he was back to Rwanda to establish his own travel company as he wished. At present, his business landscape is gradually rising on the East African continent... MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC was born in the mountains of northern Rwanda. Since he was a child, he watched the tourists coming and going at the entrance of Volcano National Park, including some from the East. Although there is language barrier, Chinese tourists always give him and his friends some souvenirs from China. Friendly smile, strange toys and difficult language left a deep impression on him in childhood, He has always dreamed of having the opportunity to visit China. In the spring of 2015, MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC gave up his job as a tour guide in the national park and got the opportunity to study in Jinhua Polytechnic with excellent marks, and years of wish finally come true. By years of Chinese self-learning with TV, he passed the HSK Level 4 in just 6 months, and was the first to enter the Tourism Management among 25 students in the same session. After becoming an academic student, to increase his own experience, he continued learning Chinese and Chinese cultural and historical knowledge, while simultaneously spent his spare time to visit well-known mountains and rivers in Zhejiang. In 2018, he contacted his friends in Rwanda and founded ABAMI TOURS, and since then started his own entrepreneurial career. " Reading ten thousand books is like traveling ten thousand miles " is his favorite saying, and also a true portrayal of his four-year study and life, even the cornerstone of his theoretical and practical study. Piture 1 May 2018, MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC accompanied the former Rwandan ambassador Charles Kayonga to visit the school At the beginning of 2020, the COVID-19 has broken out globally, and the sudden pandemic disrupted his graduation. He cared about his family and returned to Rwanda all the way. At last, with the help of professional teachers, he successfully finished studies by video teaching. After graduating, the first thing he did was to combine the theoretical knowledge studied at Jinhua Polytechnic with his local tourism resources, development and publicity in Rwanda, excavated deeply the cultural deposits hidden behind the fantastic natural wonders, and broadened own publicity channels under supporting of EWTP. He exerted own Chinese specialties to vigorously promote Rwanda's natural ecological tourism on many domestic platforms including WeChat, Microblog, Taobao etc., and received huge attention on Chinese social platforms. I think the knowledge I learned in China will benefit all my life, which is the most valuable asset in China." The next step,, MBARUSHIMANA ISAAC will focus on the field of "Chinese + Vocational Skills", hoping to set up tourism management online courses with the strength of Jinhua Polytechnic in running schools overseas, so that more people can study tourism management just at home, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the "global village" in the process of learning. |
