Hangzhou is a political, economic, cultural, educational, transportation and financial center of Zhejiang Province. It is one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations, one of the nodes of the China, one of the important electronic commerce centers of China and the new frontline cities. Up to 2017, Hangzhou has 10 districts and two counties, and administers one county-level city, covering a total area of 16,596 square kilometres, with a permanent population of 9.188 million, with a urbanization rate of 76.2 percent. In 2016, the average disposable income of Hangzhou residents was 46,116 yuan, and the total retail sales of consumer goods totalled 517,620 billion yuan. |
